Boyle County player never made it across the goal line towin the game. The referees on our side did not call touchdown and they were right there and saw it. How does a ref on the opposite side make the call when he couldn`t even see the player under all our boys. There is no way he scored and something should have been done about it right then. The clock had also run out before Boyle made the snap. Lone Oak won that game and it was taken away from them by a ref that couldn`t even see the play. I hope and pray that Coach Haskins protested this game to KHSSA and give the trophy to the real State Championship winners. They earned it fair and square. The KHSSA officials that were on the field and saw how it went down should be questioned on how they let all of this go down the way it did. Boyle knew they didn`t win that game fair, but they got the glory. I hope this is reviewed by KHSSA and the correction is made to give it to LOne Oak. Need to know what KHSSA is really made of. I even heard some Boyle County fans say that we won that game after it was over when they were leaving. I have never seen such devastated players and coaches as I did of our team that day.

Some things to look for

1. Yourself - Many pictures of the fans in the stands. What a great show of support for the team.
2. Matt Starks’ awesome catch - holding the ball against his helmet (#1071-1075)
3. Boyle County backward lateral pass - ruled incomplete but pictures clearly show it was backwards. We recovered the ball which should have resulted in a turnover (#859-867)
4. Felix Colon’s over the shoulder catch for a touchdown (# 560 - 567)
5. Jack Coorts dropping #5 Dawson in the backfield for a big loss on a reverse (#1013-1032)
6. Many more awesome hits, sacks, runs, passes and catches.
7. Note that you will NOT see a picture of the tying field goal at the end of regulation since the play clock had clearly run out - several KHSAA members were standing beside me near the end zone and said they saw it. Should have been the end of the game!
8. Double overtime - 4th and goal at the 1 - Very questionable if the ball crosses the goal line. Note that the referee on the far side of the field called touchdown (no way he could see the ball due to the players in the way) however the referee on our side who had a clearer view did not signal touchdown… just saying. (#1273-1287)

I have heard it said many times for you to win a championship you must have a great team (got it), great coaches (got it) and some luck (didn’t have it).
